Upcoming Cumberland County YMCA Programs & Events

Healthy Kids Day

Saturday, May 6th, 10 a.m. - 12 noon

YMCA at Pineland

Kids and families are urged to "Put Play in Your Day" through the YMCA

Healthy Kids* Day at the YMCA at Pineland. This event is free and open
to

the public. Activities will include a fun run, obstacle course, moon
bounce,

art projects, face painting, bowling, open swimming, healthy foods and
more!

Free YMCA brochures for parents with tips on raising safe and healthy
kids,

as well as information on healthy family activities throughout the area
will be available.

6th Annual YMCA Children's Art Auction

Thursday, May 11, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Greater Portland YMCA (New Front Entrance)

Guest will enjoy bidding on art work created by children in YMCA
programs,

as well as Y staff and residents. Young artists range in age from
toddlers

through teens, and their art will vary in media, from paintings on
canvas to sculpture.

Refreshments will be served and admission is free.

All proceeds will benefit the YMCA scholarship program.

17th Annual YMCA Back Bay 5K & Family Fun Run

Friday, May 26, 5:30 p.m. (Fun Run) / 6:00 p.m. (5K)

Join us for an invigorating 5 kilometer run around the Back Cove in
Portland

on Friday evening as we kick off the long Memorial Day holiday weekend.
After

the run, enjoy a complimentary massage, great food, raffle prizes and
more. Kids

can also join in the fun run, where everyone who participates will
receive a goodie bag.

Pineland Farms 50 K & 25 K Trail Challenge

Saturday, May 27, 8:00 a.m. (50K) / 10:00 a.m. (25K)

On Saturday May 27th the YMCA at Pineland and Maine Track Club will host
the Pineland Farms 50 K & 25 K Trail Challenge.

This will be the largest trail event in Maine, as well as simply a fun
event, with a post race BBQ and awards ceremony.

The race course is a 25 kilometer off-road roller coaster on
well-maintained trails that wind their way through forests and across

pastoral farmland. 50K participants will complete two laps. Awards will
be given to the top male and female finisher in the following

categories - up to age 34 / Ages 35 - 44 / Age 45 - 54 / Age 55 and up.
