Upcoming Cumberland County YMCA Programs & Events



 

 

Healthy Kids Day -        

April 7th, 5-7 p.m. at the Greater Portland Y

April 8th, 9-11 a.m. at the Casco Bay YMCA

May 6th, 10 a.m.-12 noon at the YMCA at Pineland

 

Kids and families are urged to "Put Play in Your Day" at the YMCA 

Healthy Kids* Day at your local YMCA. Each branch   will have its 

own array of activities to keep your kids moving and having fun.  The 

event is free and open to the public, and is designed for children ages 

5-12. Activities will include games, healthy snack making, family
fitness 

classes and more. Free YMCA brochures for parents with tips on raising 

safe and healthy kids, as well as information on healthy family
activities 

throughout the area will be available. In Portland, there will also be
an 

overnight event for kids ages 10-13.

Greater Portland YMCA Grand Reopening - April 27th, 5:30 - 7 p.m.


 


 

After more than a year of construction, phase one of renovations is 

nearly complete!  Members are invited to join in our Grand Reopening 

celebration on April 27th.  This event will offer guests the first look
inside 

the Alfred Osher Entrance into our new membership lobby and renovations 

to the Alfred Osher Youth, Teen & Family Wing - including the new 

multi-purpose room and renovated instructional pool.  

 

Following the festivities, April 28th will be the first day of normal
access 

through the new entrance to members.  The parking lot will be open and 

all members will enter the YMCA through this High Street entrance.
Phase 

two of renovations will begin in mid-June, with the replacement of the

Malcolm Wing roof.  More details on this phase will be available
shortly.  For more information on the Grand Reopening event,
